Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
The VCF Academy Programmes were this week recognised by the World Football Summit, who included the club's project among the finalists for the Best Internationalisation Strategy award.
"The internationalisation project at Valencia CF and the VCF Academy is crossing borders, having a direct impact in every continent, both through annual and short-term programmes," explains Borja Eroles, Head of International Projects at the VCF Academy.
In recent years, the VCF Academy Programmes have led to Valencia CF boasting international academies in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and carrying out more than 100 VCF Soccer Camps in countries as diverse as the USA, Panama, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Albania, Lithuania, Switzerland and Estonia.
More than 5000 players and 200 coaches have had the opportunity to learn about the methodology of the VCF Academy first-hand. The youth system has been recognised as one of the Top 5 Academies in Europe, according to the last two CIES Football Observatory reports.
"The objective is to continue growing, but always focusing on the quality of the projects and not on the quantity," says Eroles.
“It is what differentiates the VCF Academy brand: Being able to have a close relationship with all of our international projects, having coaches sent to most of the Academies and Campuses, tactical training programmes, traveling to each project to monitor them, and inviting them to Valencia to see the Ciudad Deportiva and Mestalla."
The VCF Soccer Academy Programmes, in addition to spreading the Valencia CF brand and philosophy throughout the world, take the club's training methods and values to any part of the planet -something that has been praised and acknowledged by prestigious institutions.
